March 2012 - Cobalt Centre success

Thirteen has proved to be a lucky number at a development of new offices close to Coventry Airport.

Cobalt Properties has created 13 high-quality offices at the Cobalt Centre to house a range of small businesses and all of them have now been sold or let via agents Shortland Penn + Moore, and Bromwich Hardy.

The development, which now forms part of the Middlemarch Business Park, has attracted a series of firms from a creative design agency to an optical measurement company.

David Penn, a director of Shortland Penn + Moore, said it represented great success in a tough climate.

He said: “The Cobalt Centre has been created in two separate phases and it has achieved exactly what it was originally set out to do.

“The idea was to provide office space for small but growing companies that was well-located and of a very high quality.

“It has certainly attracted a very diverse range of businesses and that is great testament to the development and the positive effect it has had on the local economy.

“The commercial property climate has been tough over the past two to three years so to have also achieved full-occupation in that time is even more satisfying for everyone involved.”

Chris Swan, of Cobalt Properties, said: “Shortland Penn + Moore gave us really good support throughout the project and we have some very good tenant companies who are growing their businesses here.”

Units range from 2,217 sq ft up to 3,088 sq ft.
